After assessing several potential sites, the HAM facility working group concluded that Olympiaranta best meets the City’s and museum’s goals. The new location would enable HAM to host larger, international exhibitions, expand its self-financing, and showcase more of the City’s art collection. Construction could begin around 2033, with the new museum opening by 2035.
