Refurbishment and extension of the Helsinki Olympic Stadium has won the 2020 Wood Award. “The way wood is used in the refurbishment is innovative and holistic. From the large scale design to the smallest detailing, wood fits perfectly as a part of this historically significant building” the jury sums up. The design was made in joint venture with NRT Architects and in collaboration with White Architects and Wessel de Jonge Architects.
