Plans for the public square Asema-aukio in front of the west main entrance of the Helsinki main railway station are now published for commenting. The public space dominated today by taxis and car traffic is transformed into a green and pedestrian driven public square. A new round pavilion designed by K2S Architects is introduced for vertical connections as well as a small commercial space. The Asema-aukio project is a cooperation between K2S Architects & Masu Planning landscape architects.
